We’re looking for the right person, not just filling a position

We’re hiring our next occupational therapist!

Not based on a CV that ticks every box. Not someone who’s already doing it exactly the Movementum way. Not someone who needs to fit a mould that's already set.

We are ready to build, together, with the right person.

If you’re a mid-career OT, 5+ years into practice, with time spent in disability or community-based care, this is probably written for you.

Maybe you love the work and you’re tired of what surrounds it. The paperwork. The pace. The feeling that you’re doing more compliance than care. Maybe you’ve started wondering what it would look like to use everything you know in a different way - training instead of only treating, shaping how other people learn to do this work well, working alongside the care providers and support workers who are in it every day, not only the individual client in front of you.

That’s close to what this role is. A combination of the face-to-face clinical work that you love and are good at, with room to grow into training facilitation, program development and work with support workers and care organisations.

A few things matter more to us than years on the job. Genuine curiosity about what actually helps, not just what’s always been done. A willingness to listen, adjust, and keep improving, whether you’re working with an individual or a whole care team. Good judgement, and a passion for great quality care.

If you’ve been putting off applying because you’re not sure your experience “counts,” or because it’s been a while since you did hands-on manual handling and you assume that rules you out - it doesn’t. We train our team properly, and we can support someone new while they learn. And if you are like us - you will have fun doing it!
