Our Covid-19 Policy
Movementum is an Occupational Therapy service that works with disability support workers, care agencies, organisations, and individuals and their families to ensure movement is achieved safely and to the benefit of all involved.
The health and wellbeing of our staff, clients, carers and our communities is our highest priority. It is for this reason that all Movementum staff are triple-vaccinated against Covid-19.
As an essential service, we remain committed to improving lives and maximising safety and independence wherever possible. We are working to ensure we can continue to safely support and deliver our services to you in the following ways:
It is company policy that all Movementum staff are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
All our staff adhere to Government Health Regulations and protocols for home visits, facility visits and community visits.
All staff are following our company Covid-19 policy, maintaining high levels of hygiene standards at all times. Staff who have direct contact with clients will also use hand sanitising gel for use before and after all appointments and maintain a safe distance where possible.
Staff are conducting rapid antigen testing regularly and completing daily health screening logs. Staff are empowered to make the decision whether to go ahead with a visit if they suspect any risks of infection.
Face-to-Face appointments will be rescheduled in the following situations:
If anyone at the place of appointment has tested positive to Covid-19.
If anyone at the place of appointment is currently in isolation due to potential exposure to Covid-19.
If any of our staff, clients, or their family/carer are showing any flu-like symptoms or with temperatures 38°C or above. Our Occupational Therapists and/or Administration Assistant make this enquiry at the time of booking the appointment and when confirming the appointment the day before.
The World Health Organisation considers that the risk of transmission via product surfaces is low however, all our equipment used during visits undergo disinfectant wiping down after each use, using medical-grade disinfectant wipes.
Your safety is our priority, and we’ll continue to review our Covid-19 policy as conditions change and in-line with official guidance.
